Daily Drum Video
Daily Drum Video is a personal project of mine. When I was younger I was a drummer and so I wanted to make this site for me and my drummer friends or anyone who has interest in drumming.
The first concept was of this stylized 3D drum set that would sit on a platform and then the videos would display on the side of the platform. I really like a well designed 3D logo but this solution wasn't getting the overall site where it needed to be and it clashed with the symmetrical flames that were on the sides of the platform.
What I did like about the original logo concept was that the type that displayed the name of the site rested on the drum head of the bass drum. I brought that concept into the final design of the logo where the circle feels like a drum head. The new logo allowed me to get rid of the platform and I was able to place a drum image behind the video and bringing the whole site together.
